Can I Trust My Emotions?

Yes!  But wait.  Trust them to evaluate where you really are in your maturity and your walk with God.  Don't necessarily act on every emotion.  We'd all be dead if that were the case. Imagine the extent of road rage...

Negative emotions are a gateway to freedom if you choose to step into this journey.  How?  It's been said, "Emotions just are."  Not true.  You've got to get this part to understand our approach.  Emotions are the bridge to the deeply held false beliefs we all carry.  They are the expression of those self-defeating tapes that play in our head. 

So, to suppress or repress all those negative emotions closes the door to what the Lord wants exposed in your life (though acting out those emotions is destructive as well).  We've created a safe place to be real and honest with yourself and God.  It's worth the pain of looking at the "wretched man that I am" (Romans 7:24) part of us to find His freedom!
