The home base of CrossCounsel is in Madison, WI. We also have a strong presence in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. We are also building a ministry in the La Crosse / Onalaska area in Wisconsin.

Rev. Steve Freitag joined the ministry in 2000, and has had a major role in the ministry’s growth since becoming the Executive Director in 2004. With a degree in Pastoral Studies, he served in two para-church youth ministries before becoming a Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor. He was ordained in 1999. Steve and Jenni have 3 adult children and live in the greater Madison area. He and Jenni can't imagine what their marriage and family would look like without transformational ministry.

Mary Carlton has been doing transformational prayer since the late 1990s. She was exposed to CrossCounsel and Steve Freitag in 2006 through and international convention where Steve lead a ministry workshop. It didn't take long for them to realize they had a similar heart for God's miraculous working of healing and life transformation. As a result, CrossCounsel DFW (Dallas / Fort Worth) was birthed in 2010. As the DFW Director, she and Wes are a great team as they pursue the work of God's Kingdom.

Carol Mitzelfeldt came to CrossCounsel in 2002. Not only did she find healing for herself, but she quickly became one of the best recruiters for new people we've ever had. She and Dave have 3 adult girls and are transitioning to a new season of life as grandparents. Carol has resigned from her role as a lead teacher for Bible Study Fellowship and is putting her energy into transformational ministry in the La Crosse / Onalaska, WI area.
