Our Unique Approach

1/13/2021

Our MELT Process is unlike anything you have ever tried. Some may think it's similar to other approaches, but when you begin to understand our high bar for genuine life-change, we think you'll agree.
We specialize in Transformational Prayer Ministry. We've spent years trying to figure out a quick way to explain our ministry. The place to begin might be to call it counseling. But while it begins with you telling a bit of your story, it's true effectiveness begins when you engage in MELT. This is what opens our hearts to God moving powerfully in our core inner belief system.

Memories - Emotions - Lies - Truth & Transformation

Deciding to face your pain can be difficult, even confusing. But there's no reason you should be confused about what our aim is in a ministry session. Therefore, we've identified a simple road map* to follow. MELT will help both you and your facilitator know where you are in the process.

Memories, Emotions and Lies (core false beliefs) will be what your facilitator helps you identify. As a result, genuine Truth & Transformation begin to take shape in you.

MEMORIES - Some believe we are a sum of our experiences. If that were true, then we would have no hope for change. We cannot change our past, but the Lord can change the heavy baggage of our past. The weight of what we carry comes from the interpretations we have given our experiences, not the experiences themselves. MEMORIES give us a tangible 'container' to measure the extent of our hurts and false thinking. They also eventually help us test the depth of Truth & Transformation we've experienced.

EMOTIONS - Fueling our deeply held beliefs, emotion is what actually drives us. Short-term, EMOTIONS alert us to a problem. Long-term, they are a barometer of spiritual maturity. EMOTIONS are the bridge to LIES and essential in transformational prayer ministry. God has created our minds to work by association.

Therefore, we feel what we BELIEVE. Facing and embracing negative EMOTIONS is actually cooperating with the way God has designed us. Some of us are better at pretending than others. But ultimately, when we are not honest with ourselves and deny our pain, we end up smothered by the weight of our own self-deception.

LIES - There are two ways we primarily believe: intellectually (left brain) and experientially (right brain). When those are both aligned in TRUTH, we walk in peace. When they are in conflict, we become double-minded. We can intellectually know that the Lord will 'never leave us or forsake us.' But if we ever feel lonely or rejected, it exposes experiential LIES or FALSE BELIEFS. We can go in two different directions in our response. We can deny, justify, rationalize, blame others and make other poor choices, or we can cooperate with the Lord, get to the root of our false-thinking and be renewed in our minds.  Transformational prayer ministry is an event-by-event, lie-by-lie process much like peeling the layers of an onion.

TRUTH & TRANSFORMATION - Once an event is over and imprinted with a LIE-BASED interpretation, then stored in long-term memory,** only the Holy Spirit can undo it. Biblical information is great, but has limited impact if it only stays in our heads. Our facilitators will give you space to allow the Lord to deliver His TRUTH to you in those MEMORIES. God's TRUTH is experienced in MEMORY in three ways: seeing, hearing and/or sensing. No one way is more powerful than another. The Lord knows best how to minister to you. TRUTH that you report receiving will be tested by your facilitator in order for you to determine it's authenticity. There is often a thin line between God's peace and our ability to numb out pain and pretend everything is fine. Each person who engages in this process begins to see the difference.

TRANSFORMATION will be marked by the freedom and liberty a person feels even in the midst of troubling circumstances. Some issues can be resolved quickly and make people think they are 'all good' now. But Transformational Prayer is really a life-long process of connecting with the Father's love, the Holy Spirit renewing our mind and bringing us into deeper maturity in Christ.

God wants to do more than help you just feel better. As we help you engage with Him, His “perfect love drives out fear” (or false shame, guilt, anxiety, depression, etc.). The more we open our hearts to His perfect love in those hidden places, the more we are changed and the better we ultimately feel.

*Emotion is often the first step in the MELT process, but not always. Once we begin the process of MELT, it is critically important to shift away from external, analytical explanations and excuses. We must move toward an internal ownership and discovery of pain and false thinking.

**We believe if caught in the moment, someone like a parent can speak truth to a child and prevent LIES from getting rooted in experience.
