Steve Freitag

Rev. Steve Freitag began his involvement in transformational prayer ministry in 1998 and joined CrossCounsel full-time in January 2000. He has helped guide the ministry's growth and development since becoming Executive Director in 2002. A graduate in Pastoral Studies, Steve gained valuable experience serving with two parachurch youth organizations before stepping into roles as a Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor. Ordained in 1999, he has spent nearly three decades helping people experience the transforming work of God, greater freedom from lie-based thinking, and deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ.

Steve and his wife, Jenni, are proud parents of three adult children and are now enjoying the blessings of grandparenthood. They live in the greater Madison area and often describe themselves as recipients of the same ministry they have devoted their lives to sharing with others. They frequently reflect on the profound impact God has had on their own marriage and family through transformational prayer ministry and The MELT Process, and they cannot imagine where they would be today apart from His grace. Through His faithful work, they have experienced greater freedom, deeper intimacy with Christ, and healthier, more life-giving relationships with one another.
